Making everyday better
At Freys Hotel, we truly believe in making our guests’ day better – and indeed our own. We want to add an extra special touch. A taste. An aroma. A feeling. Enjoyment and wellbeing. So along with Chokladfabriken, we have now designed our very own chocolate.
Freys chocolate is dark with 62% cacao, flavoured with sea salt, popcorn and strawberry. It’s a tasty delight, made with love!
Staff activity
When we decided to work with Chokladfabriken, it was only natural to let our staff be involved. A staff activity at Chokladfabriken was planned, so that together we could come up with the perfect flavour combination for our new chocolate bar. Once at the factory – Chokladfabriken literally means ‘the chocolate factory’ in Swedish – each person was allowed to create and flavour their own bar. The result was 19 incredibly tasty bars of chocolate. After a successful activity it was time to crown a winner, so the jury did some smelling and tasting. After some tough decision-making, the judges voted for Andrea, one of our stars in reception!
The panel’s comments:
“A tasty blend of sweet, salt and fresh berries, also frightfully elegant.”
We asked Andrea why she chose that particular flavour combination.
“As soon as I saw what we had to choose from I immediately went for popcorn. It’s such a party food and a bit unusual to have in chocolate. And of course salt goes very nicely with both chocolate and popcorn. I was going to stop there, but I found some strawberry pieces that added a bit of extra colour. They also added some extra sweetness which balanced nicely with the salt.” A tasty delight, made with love and representing Freys!
